MUSIC TRIVIA.

YAY! MUSIC! I copied this idea off Jasmyn and Anthony. Try to guess the song title and artist from sections of the lyrics. DON'T GOOGLE IT. That's cheating. P.S. I hope it's not too hard, I tried to include songs that are not too popular.

1. It feels like we haven't seen each other in years Why don't you join me for a couple of beers clink cheers wow I seen you on my facebook profile sending me a message and offerin the smiles out

How's your dad doing, still rakin in that dough huh? You're supposed to laugh that's a joke hun I like to poke fun, so don't take it to the heart Last time i heard you was in school studying art

So what! you dropped out and now you're working the bar But I thought you had it made a big house and a car Ima try to get paid for what I say on stageBut if you're already paid then I guess you got it made

2. Do you know what's worth fighting for
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weight out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Does someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins...

3. I got a notion that says it doesn't feel right
got the answer in your story today
you gave me a sign that didn't feel right
so don't knock it, don't knock it, you been here before
so don't knock it, don't knock it, you been here before
i just wanted to know if i could go home
been rambling day after day
everyone says they don't know

4. They got it all
They've got all the things I thought I wanted
But I can't afford
To fake anymore
To live this facade and smile as the warm champagne pours
Out on the lawn we'll pretend we're having tonnes of fun in this world where we don't belong
Some bloke all alone
Is she thinking of me
Did she forget what we once had

5. Just paint the picture of a perfect place
They got it better than what anyone's told ya
They'll be the king of hearts
And you're the queen of spades
Then we'll fight for you like we were your soldiers
I know we got it good, but they got it made
And the grass is getting greener each day
I know things are looking up
But soon they'll take us down
Before anybody's on our way

6. I see you there, don't know where you come from
Unaware but you're still from someone
Don't appear to care that I saw you, and I want you
What's your name? Cause I have to know it
You let me in and begin to show it
I'm terrified cause you're headed straight for it, might get it

Hear the song playing on the background
All alone but you're turning up now
And everyone is risin to meet you, to greet you
Turn around and you walk toward me
I'm breaking down and you're breathing slowly
Say the word and I will be your man, your man

7. (FAVE SONG!) Your lipstick stains on the front lobe of my left side brains
I knew I wouldn't forget you
And so I went and let you blow my mind
Your sweet moving
The smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided
you're the one I have decided
Who's one of my kind

Just in time, I'm so glad you have a one track mind like me
You gave my life direction
A game show love connection, we can't deny
I'm so obsessed
My heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest
I believe in you, like a virgin, you're Madonna
And I'm always gonna wanna blow your mind

Important Issues: Leather Seats

Wow. It's good to be back. I haven't written a blog entry in over 2 weeks. BLEH. Anyways, today I will be addressing the issue of leather seats. Yeah, yeah, leather seats are great. NOT! Although leather seats are usually only in the highest quality cars, I do not like them. In fact, I despise them. Yesterday night, when I was riding in a courtesy car that had leather seats, it was absolutely FREEZING. And in the summer, those darned leather seats are BURNING HOT. Yes, that's why I hate leather seats.

OMG! NEW MOON PREMIERE!

This is the first, and hopefully the last blog entry I ever write about the Twilight series. Tonight, teenage girls and their vampire craze will be unleashed upon this innocent world. The second installment of the Twilight saga, New Moon will be shown in theatres in less than 90 minutes. For over two hours, the night will be filled with screaming. Not of terror, but of pure delight. Did you know you can buy cardboard cut-outs of Edward Cullen? That's creepy, real creepy. Even creepier that the fact that now, 90% of teenage girls believe vampires exist. Even their moms are in love with Robert Pattinson. Personally, I think it would be interesting to visit a theatre nearby and see what the scene there is like. I don't want to watch the movie, just check out how many fan girls dressed up as their favorite vampire. Taylor Lautner is quite popular too, partly because he had to gain 30 pounds of muscle for this movie. Myself, I still can't get over the fact that he was Sharkboy. Yes, Sharkboy.

Important Issues: Water

Today's important issue is water. No, I'm not an environmental freak trying to tell you to conserve water and save the world. That is ACTUALLY important. We're exploring H2O at a much smaller scale today. We're talking about just the water in your home. If you didn't already know (and you'd better), all the water in your house is connected. That means if someone turns on the cold water tap somewhere, there won't be much cold water anywhere else in the house. This can turn out to be really annoying and frustrating. That happened to me today when I was taking a shower. Someone decided to either flush the toilet or wash their hands, and I was shocked with some scalding hot water. That really sucked. Words cannot describe how irritating that is.

A Serious Entry.

I've had a very meaningful weekend so far. Yesterday at youth group, we packed sandwich bags to hand out. And today, that's what we did. Me and Jeff met up with my youth group at Science World in the morning. Anthony came too. We walked around downtown handing out our 76 sandwich bags. Although it was freezing cold and raining even with our jackets and warm clothes on, I bet it was even worse for the people who received our sandwich bags. It was a really good experience getting to see firsthand what it was like for the homeless people in Vancouver, something a person like me doesn't see often. I felt really humbled and thankful for that. It really makes a person appreciate what you have. I also felt very sad and disappointed when many people didn't get a sandwich bag because there wasn't enough. It was probably one of the few times that I really felt strongly for other people. I hope the people enjoyed the sandwiches we carefully made and packed, even if they didn't read the encouraging messages stapled to them. I felt like we had really made a difference today. Even though we only provided a single meal, this may be one of the few encounters they have with a Christian. It was definitely unique and I enjoyed it very much.

Important Issues: Leaf Blowers

To mark the season of fall, I have decided to write about important issues, such as leaf blowers. They are pretty pointless. You're just moving your mess and giving it to someone else. It' s like dumping the broccoli you don't want to eat on someone else's plate. Rake 'em and bag 'em, I say!

Summmmmmer

So how was my summer? It was okay, kinda boring. For the first two weeks I just slept a lot and basically did nothing. Then on June 26 I went to my church's teens camp. It was a lot of fun and the place we stayed was really beautiful. After that I went to a counselor in training camp at SFU for two weeks. After that, I volunteered at some camps at SFU. It was fun, but tiring. In August, I went to Seattle and bought some stuff. We also visited the Museum of Glass and watched some people make some stuff with glass. We also went on an underground tour of Seattle. The tour guide was really funny. I liked it. In early September, it was my birthday! I watched District 9. It was a good movie. I liked it. That's my summer in a paragraph.

First Blog?

Hi, everyone. SO... this is my first blog. I've never written any kind of journal or diary before, so this is all new. I hope I don't have to share all my deep thoughts and emotions and stuff. That would suck.
